Winchester PR Consultant is elected new Chair of the region's CIPR Committee

Steve Wilson, Director of Winchester-based Hallmark Public Relations has been elected as the new Chair of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) Wessex region.

Steve was appointed to Chair CIPR Wessex at the organisation’s recent AGM. He will be working alongside a committee of public relations professionals from across Hampshire and Dorset.

The CIPR was awarded its chartered status by the Privy Council in February this year. The accreditation marked the official recognition of the PR profession and the important and influential role it plays in business and society.

In his new role as Chair of the CIPR’s Wessex region Steve commented: “I am hoping to raise the profile of the CIPR in the region, encouraging existing and new members to play an active role in the committee. Membership of CIPR Wessex provides an excellent opportunity for PR professionals based in the region to work together to help raise the standards of the PR industry through sharing ideas and knowledge with new recruits, such as those currently studying PR degrees at local Universities.”
