Aussie Steve joins Hallmark Public Relations

AN AUSTRALIAN political expert has joined Winchester-based public relations consultancy Hallmark PR to strengthen its international expertise.

Queenslander Steve Wilson has been appointed as account manager dealing primarily with international accounts, including the International Tobacco Growers' Association (ITGA) and Chilean fertiliser company, SQM.

With an extensive background in Australian politics, Steve has worked as a campaign officer, parliamentary advisor and finally as an elected City Councillor before moving to London to work as a public relations consultant on business to business and corporate clients.

A specialist in issues management, Steve is a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Member of the Institute of Public Relations.

Steve and Hallmark managing director Dr Tom Watson have recently undertaken a 12-day roadshow of meetings with government ministers, decision-makers and media in South Africa, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Kenya and India. They organised the roadshow to communicate a client's position on current issues. Steve is also working on an international research project for SQM by preparing qualitative and quantitative research.
