Home Helen Symes Steve Wilson Steve Wilson Steve is a Director and one of the co-owners at Hallmark Public Relations. He left his home in Australia to move to the the UK in 1998. Back in Oz, Steve was an elected councillor in Townsville where he regularly courted the press and acted as spokesperson for the council. After the shock of being elected (and then subsequently re-elected with an increased majority 3 years later) Steve says his major achievement as a councillor was working closely with the Mayor to usher in the beginnings of a new era of investment and development in the city. His interest in the media began back in Townsville where he briefly spent time working as a news journalist at WIN Television and since moving to the UK he also worked at a London PR agency. He joined Hallmark PR in February 2000 as an Account Manager and in 2003 was part of the team who undertook a management buyout of the company. He is a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (UK). When he’s not working (and sometimes when he is), Steve is true to his Australian roots and likes to spend time with friends around the barbie (English weather permitting) or watching/listening to SixNationState.
